Meet Storm, a remarkable dog who is now ready to find her forever home after months of recuperation. This brave girl was discovered as a stray in Rockingham County, suffering from an old injury to her back leg, malnourished, and scared. Thankfully, she has responded well to treatments and the vets have determined that her leg injury doesn't require any further attention beyond joint supplements.
Storm has been living with her foster family for the past several months. During this time, she has been around their three dogs, many people, and young children. She travels well in the car, makes friends with both two-legged and four-legged beings effortlessly, and has excellent manners in the house.
She was recently assessed around cats at the shelter, and we believe she could adapt to living with them. Slow introductions to new feline (and canine) companions in her new home will be crucial for a smooth transition.
