Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux Announce Separation: Read The Statement

Another one bites the dust as Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux announced on Thursday (February 15) that they've been separated since late 2017, as per a joint statement via spokesman Stephen Huvane.

"In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we have decided to announce our separation. This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year," the statement read. "We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship. Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly."

Aniston and Theroux, who wed in 2015, said that whatever else is printed about the couple that is not directly from them "is someone else's fictional narrative." "Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another," the statement concluded.

Even though they decided to separate at the end of 2017, it seems like Aniston has been absent from Theroux's New York City Life for some time now. As per TMZ, the pair were often spotted at the apartment, but the actress stopped coming sometime during the summer. "The rumbling is that they will do what celebs are increasingly doing -- getting their business managers involved first and reaching a property settlement -- and then, when it's all but a done deal, file legal docs in court. It avoids turning divorce into a soap opera," a source close to the outlet revealed.
