5 Seconds Of Summer Tease New Single 'Easier'

5 Seconds of Summer is preparing to drop their new single, "Easier," on Thursday (May 23) and the Aussie four-piece have shared a couple of teasers ahead of the track's release.

If you head over to their Instagram account, you'll notice that Ashton Irwin, Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings and Michael Clifford have shared a number of posts, teasing the upcoming song alongside what looks like its music video. In the footage, fans can see the band performing amidst flashes of flames to match the edgier tone of the song. "Easier" was co-written by OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, who briefly spoke about the track in a recent interview with Official Charts. "A song I’m ecstatic about is the new 5 Seconds of Summer song," Tedder gushed. "I’ll put it this way, it has a little Nine Inch Nails in it." Additional, the group retweeted a cryptic message from Charlie Puth, so we wouldn't be surprised if the pop singer/songwriter had a hand in the creation of some of the band's other new music.

Expect to hear "Easier" on 5SOS' upcoming tour with The Chainsmokers and Lennon Stella. The acts are scheduled to hit the road together at the end of September and perform all throughout the country until the beginning of December.
