A 78-year-old California man, Ted Sams, finally has diploma after it spent 60 years locked away in a filing cabinet. Sams wasn't awarded his diploma in 1962 because of a missed final exam. He had been suspended five days ahead of the end of the semester. He did make up his final exam that following summer but was told he had to pay five-dollars for a book he never returned. After complaining for years to his kids, his old high school invited him to finally accept his diploma with the class of 2022. He was presented with his original diploma from decades ago.
