Staunton Art Center Seeks Artists to Paint Picnic Tables for Public Project

The Staunton Augusta Art Center is calling on local artists to help bring life to The Wharf by turning picnic tables into eye-catching public art. The goal is to brighten up a currently unused area and create a fun, inviting spot for the community to enjoy while future redevelopment plans are in the works.

Artists can submit their original table designs now, and five will be chosen through a community vote later this summer. Selected artists will be invited to paint their tables during hands-on public workshops and will receive a $100 honorarium.

Interested? You can submit your design through the Staunton Augusta Art Center’s website.
