Sentara RMH Medical Center has received national recognition after being named among the top cardiovascular hospitals in the United States.
The Harrisonburg-based hospital was selected for the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals list compiled through an independent performance evaluation using data from Premier, Inc., with results published by Modern Healthcare. Sentara RMH was one of only two hospitals in Virginia to earn a place on the list and ranked fourth nationwide in the community hospital category.
Hospital leaders said the honor reflects both clinical results and patient-centered care. In a statement, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Robert Garwood said the designation highlights the organization’s strong outcomes, efficient operations and commitment to patient experience.
He added that the recognition affirms the hospital’s role in delivering advanced heart and vascular care to the Shenandoah Valley region.
