2nd/3rd grade teacher in Toronto surprised all 22 of her students with a special end-of-year gift. Her class had just watched the movie “Like Mike” and were struck by the phrase “It’s not about the shoes. Instead, it’s who wears the shoes that make them special.”
The teacher says she likes to incorporate life lessons into her curriculum and many of her students come from lower income families, so she set out to buy each of her 22 students a pair of Nike Air Force 1 sneakers. She also brought in a local sneaker customization studio tohelp the kids make the sneakers their own. The result was that each of her students got their very own custom pair of kicks to take home.
