14 Shows You Watched In the '80s but Probably Forgot About

Well all remember watching The Cosby Show and Growing Pains in the '80s, but here are a few blasts from the past that you probably forgot all about. Some of my favorites on the list are Small Wonder, Mr. Wizard's World, and Shirt Tales!

Hope you enjoy the nostalgia!

Shirt Tales

Day By Day

This one wasn't on for very long at all, but my cousin and I were obsessed with it. There was one episode in which a guy "snapped to a beat that only he can hear" and for some reason we though that was hilarious and still laugh about it to this day.

Mr. Wizard's World

I remember watching this on Nickelodeon and wishing we could try these experiments at home...

Today's Special

This was on during the day while I was in school, but I remember being excited to watch it on those rare days when I was home sick. Not sure why I found it so appealing... but they were living in a department store and I'm a shopaholic in my adult life so maybe that was it?

Kate & Allie

Two divorced single moms living together and raising their kids as a family. It was actually on for a while (1984 to 1989) but when I came across this clip it made me go, WOW, haven't thought about that show in ages!

Heathcliff

We remember The Smurfs and Thundercats but what about Heathcliff? Did you watch?

Mr. Belvedere

Who didn't love Mr. Belvedere?

Zoobilie Zoo

This was such a bizarre show with people dressed up as animals dancing around...

Jem

Truly outrageous.

My 2 Dads

This was a favorite... One I had totally forgotten about until I went to do this blog post.

Small Wonder

I was fascinated by this show. The little girl was a robot! Her name was Vicki and she always wore that same frumpy dress.

Penny on Pee-Wee's Playhouse

You probably remember watching Pee-Wee's Playhouse, but do you remember the Penny cartoon?

The Snorks

I feel like this show must have been inspired by The Smurfs, just the underwater version.

The Hogan Family

This is the show that started out as Valerie... But Valerie Harper was killed off the show due to a contract dispute after the second season. I think this was the first time I had to deal with the "death" of a major character in a TV show and wrap my head around the fact that the person was still alive, they just weren't on the show anymore. I remember being upset by this phenomenon. The show was re-named Valerie's Family and then The Hogan Family.

OK... That's what I came up with. How many do you remember? Any other kind of obscure '80s shows you remember?
