Scientists used high-powered lasers to see how much dirty water and other microscopic particles splash out of the toilet when it is flushed.

The scientists who did the experiment say they will have to do more testing to find out how many dangerous microbes are actually in the toilet spray. They noted that people go to the bathroom all the time without getting sick, but there is the risk that some illnesses may be spread by this toilet spray.
